Endometrial hyperplasia refers to the condition where the endometrial tissue proliferates excessively.
The endometrium changes periodically according to the menstrual cycle, but in patients with endometrial hyperplasia, the stimulation by the female hormone estrogen continues regardless of the menstrual cycle, causing excessive proliferation of the endometrium.
This symptom is often found in women with menstrual irregularities, especially after menarche and before menopause, when ovulation disorders are more likely to occur.
In cases of endometrial hyperplasia, symptoms such as uterine bleeding and menstrual irregularities can occur, leading to potentially serious outcomes like infertility and endometrial cancer, making early checks and treatment necessary.
Rather than simply scraping off the thickened lining, causing concern for damage, conservative treatment is provided.
Disrupted hormonal balance is corrected to treat the root cause and prevent the recurrence.
